The design of the IPM system to be used during the Porjus measurement campaign is close to be finished. To verify the adequacy of the proposed design at the actual site, Joel Sundström from LTU visited Porjus in order to check the space around the draft tube cone.
– In the CAD model that I have been working with to obtain the design, the floor is flat and small obstacles like the pressure measurement device mounted on the wall are not present. It was very useful to become acquainted with the space around the draft tube cone in order to plan for the manufacturing and mounting of the system, says Joel Sundström from LTU.
