Morten Kjeldsen, from FDB, participated in the TC4 IEC meeting (Hydraulic turbines) that took place in Stockholm from the 12 to the 17 of June. The meeting was about standard on flow control technology in Hydropower.
Here the project and some of the ideas of having a “Flow Control” standard for hydropower were presented.
It was decided to try including some of this into the appendix of an existing standard. Indeed, AFC4Hydro will use the method of thermodynamic efficiency, as described in standard IEC6004, for evaluating its technologies in an industrial environment.
