On January 30th UPC staff entered the Arctic Circle in Sweden to visit Porjus power plant as a first step to plan the test campaign on unit U9 (a Kaplan turbine) which will take place in 2022. The visit and the meeting with Vattenfall staff were very useful to understand how the unit works and the working environment where the different partners will have to work then, and officially triggered the planning phase of the campaign.
