Rafel Roig Bauzà has joined the AFC4Hydro UPC team in January 2020 as PhD with a focus on fluid structure interaction (FSI). He got his MS in Mechanical Engineering at UPC and he will be in charge of the numerical simulations of WP3. Fig 1- New PhD student Rafel
On January 30th UPC staff entered the Arctic Circle in Sweden to visit Porjus power plant as a first step to plan the test campaign on unit U9 (a Kaplan turbine) which will take place in 2022. The visit and the meeting with Vattenfall staff were very useful to understand how the unit works and
